Using the ubuntu-
Here's how this is surfaced in /var/log/syslog during the install:
Sep 24 21:31:12 base-installer: /bin/apt-install: /bin/apt-install: 36: load-install-cd: not found
It looks like the load-install-cd script was added to the apt-cdrom-setup package in version 1:0.32, but hardy and hardy-updates include 1:0.31ubuntu8. Maybe version 1:0.32 of apt-cdrom-setup could be pushed out to hardy-updates ?

Hmm. I acknowledge the problem, certainly, but this is a notoriously delicate area that I'm sort of reluctant to touch in a stable release unless it's causing a problem. Is this causing an installation failure, or is it just log file noise?
