Just to say our clients face this as we ship in oem-config mode , which leads that they cannot login to their computer anymore and they did not see what QWERTY password they typed !

This is then a very high problem which has been seen even in 16.04 from time to time

Could we at least have a patch that fix this on a branch and we coudl ship the custom version ?

because right now , we just want to stop Ubuntu until this is fixed.
