Hello!, I've been studying this bug and testing the mate github fixes.

I've done some testing, and in case you want to only apply that very fix with out moving to the next version, you might want to use this ones.

Only the mate-utils patch needed some rework as github changes were applied to a recent release, making the patch fail.
