Bug Description

Binary package hint: cryptsetup

Since edgy we're using UUID=<volume-uuid> or LABEL=<volume-label> to mount stuff.
For this we got to have symlinks in /dev/disk/by-{uuid,label} targeting to the device.

I'm using feisty amd64 and cryptsetup 2:1.0.4-8ubuntu2

This patch should fix this issue at least for 2:1.0.4-8ubuntu2:
This would create swaps everytime with $dst as label, don't know if it's the best way, but seemed only useful solution.

I'm sorry, this patch wasn't as well tested as it should. I'll have another look at it.

thanks for taking care of it. please note that I plan to merge the ubuntu package with the newer version found in debian, so please keep sure that your patch is small enough to faciliate the merging

I hope this is small enough (and it really works for me now...)

Thank you for your bug report and your patch, I'll make a new debdiff and a self-build package for the i386 arch so you can check if it works and don't introduce any new issue.
Once tested, I'll ask for upload on feisty-proposed.

Debdiff available (simply patched the cryptdisks.functions with the above patch, updated the changelog (feisty-proposed).
Debs for i386 and amd64 can be found at : http://www.stgraber.org/download/ubuntu/cryptsetup/ with the orig, diff and dsc files

Sorry for the delay, it seems like I didn't got any emails for this bug though I'm subscribed.

I don't use feisty anymore, can anyone else test the updated package?

This looks like a hal script issue. Marking it as 'hal' based on hacking gnome-mount/cryptsetup/hal scripts recently.
