 This package contains an ALSA driver for xmp. ALSA is a Linux sound system
 and a collection of kernel modules that replace the old OSS modules while
 retaining full compatibility with OSS/Lite as used in the Linux kernels older
 than version 2.5.

 xmp is a multi-format module player for UNIX. xmp plays at sampling
 rates up to 48 kHz in mono or stereo, 8 or 16 bits, signed or unsigned,
 little or big endian samples with 32 bit linear interpolation. xmp
 currently supports more than 40 module formats.
