Bug Description

Ubuntu 18.04 with kernel 4.15.0-70-generic all up to date to latest @ 18/11/2019

Asus USB-AC51 wifi dongle does not get recognized by default on kernel 4.15

Installing the HWE kernel for 18.04 fixed this

Hi lotuspsychje,

thanks for reporting this, it looks like Bionic is missing support for mt76x0 driver[1] and the mt76/mt76.h in mt76 driver. Considering the delta and the fact that user can still use this with the Bionic HWE kernel, I doubt the possibility to backport this into Bionic.

I will let others to decide.
