Colour bandind is visible everywhere in the system, and it appeared after I had my integrated monitor replaced. I believe it's not a hardware problem, since booting with 'nomodeset' works as expected.
I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 with kernel linux-image-4.15.0-34-generic, installing linux-image-4.18.8 with UKUU didn't help.
I attached the results of running
sudo get-edid | parse-edid in a file named edid.txt
sudo get-edid | edid-decode in a file named edid-decoded.txt
cat /proc/version_signature in version.log
sudo lspci -vnvn in lspci-vnvn.log.

There were already two similar bugs, https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/bugs/ 1749420 and https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/bugs/ 1788308, but the fixes provided for those bugs did not work for my specific monitor.
