I built a test kernel that should resolve this issue. The test kernel can be downloaded from:

Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug?

Note, to test this kernel, you need to install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think installing this kernel fixed the bug:

mark@studiopc:~$ uname -a
Linux studiopc 4.15.0-15-generic #16~lp1766055 SMP Mon Apr 23 21:11:18
UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
mark@studiopc:~$ sudo apt source linux
[sudo] password for mark:

Skipping already downloaded file 'linux_4.15.0-19.20.dsc'

Installing the kernel then doing apt update also did not resolve the bug.
