The patch I sent has Cc: linux-stable, so Bionic will get this via upstream stable update.
Timo Aaltonen (tjaalton) wrote : | #3 |
I don't see the SAUCE patch in bionic nor upstream, so it'll take quite some time to get there..

I am using a ThinkPad E585, which has a Raven Ridge APU, and the problem still exists for me in kernel 4.20.15.
`lspci` shows that my USB controllers' device IDs are the ones in the list of devices for which the fix is applied (15e0,15e1), but I am still receiving the same error and no USB devices are registered when plugged in.
Adam Gausmann (tokumei64) wrote : | #16 |

So it's not a same issue, please file a separate bug report.
Adam Gausmann (tokumei64) wrote : | #18 |
I fail to see how it is not the same issue; I am receiving the same error that the commit (621faf4f) claims to fix.
Kai-Heng Feng (kaihengfeng) wrote : | #19 |
When I wrote the workaround, I didn't observe this:
[ 60.486464] xhci_hcd 0000:05:00.3: Refused to change power state, currently in D3
[ 60.486471] xhci_hcd 0000:05:00.4: Refused to change power state, currently in D3
So please file a new bug report.
