Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Ubuntu 17.10
2. Try to report bug with Apport by terminal command `apport-bug apport`
Expected results:
apport-bug reports bug silently
Actual results:
get output in the terminal
$ apport-bug apport

I believe this is specific to MATE as I was unable to recreate this on an Ubuntu Artful install.
