Bug Description

Binary package hint: zynaddsubfx

This problem exist in both the karmic and jaunty versions of Ubuntu. Whenever I have qjackctl running in realtime mode attempting change instrument patches in zynaddsubfx causes the it to be disconnected from jack. The only way to reconnect it is to restart zynaddsubfx.

Now if I run qjackctl without realtime enabled everything works fine, except the xruns from not being in realtime of course.

Here is what I see when I run zynaddsubfx from the terminal

Everything is so much better in the current git, I'd suggest moving to it as soon as possible as everything works

The current package is simply broken and does not work

I want to confirm that zynaddsubfx is broken in this way in karmic.
The only thing that prevents zynaddsubfx from being zombified when
changing patches is giving it a higher realtime priority than jack with chrt --fifo.

I think increasing the timeout in jack from 500 to 1000 ms solved my problem

Thank you for responding. This is quite the blast from my past. I have played with the the 18.04 package version and the latest git without running into this issue again.
