Can a 3.5.x version (latest is 3.5.6) be packaged ?

Thanks a lot, but unfortunately I don't work for the company that used this software any more.

I only take care of my zoo manually nowadays...

Changed subject because 3.5.6 is really ancient now, latest 3.5.x is 3.5.10, which is EOL BTW.

Maybe jumping to 3.7.x would be better instead...

As tracked here, Debian did "jump" straight to 3.8 for bookworm (testing), see https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=zookeeper&searchon=names&exact=1&suite=all&section=all and closed this bug on their end https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=927673

There also is a 3.8.x package being worked on for Ubuntu: https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zookeeper/commit/?id=3b2f83cd036055b423fd289f09c04df14906e79b which is already available in Kinetic: https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=zookeeper&searchon=names&exact=1&suite=all&section=all

Maybe a backport to jammy or even focal might be something to "wish for" though.
