zfs-dkms 0.6.5.6-0ubuntu16: zfs kernel module failed to build

Bug Description

Reinstalling a fresh version of Ubuntu Desktop does not solve this issue. The issue was first noticed after updating the zfs/spl just last week. Attempts to install a previous version of the packages does not seem to work for me (or I'm not up to the challenge).
