Bug Description

Any menu option under the 'edit' menu in Zapping will cause the application to crash. This is on amd64. The application seems to function perfectly otherwise. Before the crash, these messages appear:

(zapping:2693): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_get_value: assertion `VALID_ITER (iter, GTK_LIST_STORE(tree_model))' failed

(zapping:2693): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: gtype.c:3312: type id `0' is invalid

(zapping:2693): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: can't peek value table for type `<invalid>' which is not currently referenced

Same here! It also says:

** (zapping:8173): WARNING **: GConf key '/apps/zapping/plugins/deinterlace/method' is unset and has no default. Schemas incomplete or not installed?

Which might be the cause of the preferences crash? As it is the lack of schema (default) values?

I'm also seeing this on amd64 Dapper Drake

** (zapping:5725): WARNING **: GConf key '/apps/zapping/plugins/deinterlace/method' is unset and has no default. Schemas incomplete or not installed?

on startup and then:
(zapping:5725): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_sensitive: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

When accessing anything in the "edit" menu.

Same problem here on i386. This bug should be marked confirmed.

The warning "** (zapping:5725): WARNING **: GConf key '/apps/zapping/plugins/deinterlace/method' is unset and has no default. Schemas incomplete or not installed?" has nothing to do with it though. Setting that gconf key by hand makes the warning disappear but the program still will crash.

With me, it only crashes when trying to enter the Preferences or Channels:

(zapping:27226): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_get_value: assertion `VALID_ITE R (iter, GTK_LIST_STORE(tree_model))' failed

(zapping:27226): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: gtype.c:3f312: type id `0' is invalid

(zapping:27226): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: can't peek value table for type `<inva lid>' which is not currently referenced
