Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Release: 10.04
zabbix-agent: Installed: 1:1.8.1-1ubuntu1

When install this packege in Zabbix server, default configuration is Server=localhost, but doesn't work.

In log of server:
===
724:20100510:095307.758 Item [Zabbix Server:agent.ping] error: Got empty string from [127.0.0.1]. Assuming that agent dropped connection because of access permissions
===

When correct the parameter Server to Server=127.0.0.1 works.

In /etc/hosts is correct enter.

This happens for me too: the default configuration of Server=localhost doesn't work, so Zabbix doesn't monitor its own host.

The workaround of setting Server=127.0.0.1 works.
