download of ZDF Mediathek Video hangs at 100%

When I use the Trusty version of youtube-dl to download a ZDF Mediathek video it goes to 100% but then the program doesn't finish, as if the last single bit just didn't make it. The *.part file can be viewed without a problem so the impact is minimal.

This still happens even with the latest version from github upstream

Best to close it here as Ubuntu doesn't do more than build and package this and this is not package or build related.

Bug trackers aren't only about actions but also about documentation. Since this is a bug present in the Ubuntu package it very much deserves to be documented here.

Howdy,

I've looked through several issue reports for that host at around the time this was filed, there's been several fixes and while test downloading a video from that site I could no longer reproduce said issue. The problem is at least fixed in 2019.01.17-1, but presumably much earlier as well.
