Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

Seems as though About Ubuntu and Help use Firefox. This makes for a very long opening time. An about box simular to the Gnome about Box would be more favourable. As it loads instantly and has all the relevent information plus links etc.

Package: yelp 2.30.0-0ubuntu1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-19.28-generic 2.6.32.10+drm33.1
Uname: Linux 2.6.32-19-generic i686

Architecture: i386
Date: Mon Apr 5 18:41:41 2010
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/yelp
InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha i386 (20100217)
ProcEnviron:
 LANG=en_NZ.utf8
 SHELL=/bin/bash

Duplicate status is wrong.

One of the problems here, and in some other bugs marked as duplicates, is that Yelp is being used for About Ubuntu, not that Yelp is slow.

These need to be marked as WONTFIX if the intent is that About Ubuntu will always use Yelp. I say that is a bad choice.

Don't complain that your screwdriver won't hammer nails, get a hammer instead.

I'm sorry. It seems there's just one other bug #474923 that has been marked as a duplicate but shouldn't be. I thought I'd seen more.

Thanks for that useless bit of information.
If Yelp is being used for Help by mistake after a clean install then that
seems to be a bug to me.
