Hello

Grabbed Final release of Jaunty 9.04, installed to hard drive, did all updates as at May 2 11.00 am South African time, then tried to install the nvidia drivers for my FX 5500. It would appear that jockey-common crashed, but there was no crash report in /var/crash. I then clicked on the Activate button again, which would appear to be incorrectly set to on, as it then proceeded to un-install the nvidia drivers.

What should have happened here is that firstly jockey-common should not have crashed, and secondly, when it re-started itself, it should have picked up that the drivers were now installed, the Activate button should have been greyed out, and indicated to the user that a re-boot, or re-login is needed to use the new nvidia drivers.

I then went to synaptic, re-installed jockey and jockey common, rebooted, chose hardware drivers again, activated the nvidia drivers and THIS time it installed correctly, without the crash.
