Bug Description

Description:

Unlike other programs that allow searching (firefox, evince) pressing / in yelp does not activate typeahead find (although yelp's find is typeahead anyway)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to System -> Help .
2. In the Help Topics window press / .

Expected results:

Find dialog to appear at the bottom of the window as in some other programs.

Actual results:

Nothing happens.

Additional information:

If you use Ctrl-F to get the find dialog up pressing escape does not dismiss it as in other programs.

Just tried this in up-to-date gutsy, and Escape does dismiss the search bar.

Also, is the mapping of / to typeahead find part of the GNOME HIG, or something? It seems redundant to have Ctrl+F and / do the same thing.

It certainly does appear that the escape side of things was fixed at least as far back as Feisty. However I would argue the real issue still remains.

I'm almost certain that / typeahead find is NOT in the HIG (http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/input-keyboard.html#keyboard-navigation ). I would argue that it has become a de-facto standard (firefox, evince, vim, less, gnome-dictionary) in things that display text like pages.
