Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-docs

There appears to be two URLs to the xubuntu website.

http://www.xubuntu.org
and
http://www.xubuntu.com

To the best of my ability, it appears these are both the same website. If they are the same website, could http://www.xubuntu.com be linked to the .org site as a redirect? It is very confusing to go to the .com site and find the same information. I currently run http://teamcharliesangels.com, but register both .com and .net. http://teamcharliesangels.net is redirected to the .com website, so that if you enter either one, you go to the same site. I maintain a single site this way, while insuring those looking under both .com and .net can find it.

Ugh, hadn't even know we had .com. I will investigate this further.

Filed an RT ticket as Cody suggested. In future .com will redirect to .org.

While you are about it, how about changing that dreadful colour scheme? Black on dark blue with glaring white highlights so that my eyes are defeated by the extreme contrast are NO encouragement to explore further.

It takes me much longer to first find the relevant paragraph and then to read it than normal colour schemes. Maybe not exactly like this webpage, but at least it is no problem to read.

What are you talking about? The Xubuntu website has black text on a white background.

As the comment by Tony was irrelevant to this bug, I've mailed him directly asking him more specific information on the browser he is using, and whether the problem can be reproduced with a (greatly) CSS-standards-compliant browser.

The problem described exists in IE and is known. It will be fixed in the next update of the website.
