No PDF downloads at the official website

When I went to the official documentation online, I clicked the links under "Would you rather read this documentation in PDF?" and both links returned error messages "404 File not found". [EDITED] The URL is here https://xubuntu.github.io/xubuntu-docs/user/C/index.html.

I can confirm that I succeeded in building the documentation offline and produce PDFs by following the official development documentation. I think the PDF files should be available on the website.

Please fix the PDF downloads. Thank you very much.

Please provide the URL you are referring to. Both the "A4" and "US letter" PDF links work fine from here:

Sorry I forgot to write the URL and thank you for the working link. Here was the URL I meant https://xubuntu.github.io/xubuntu-docs/user/C/index.html and the PDF links still returned 404 even now. However, for your link, I can confirm yes the PDF files work fine. Note: your link shows a 2017 date, while my link shows a 2022 date.

There’s no site hosted via GitHub Pages at that address you specify. That link is also not to our official website. I’m not quite sure what this bug is actually about then as you feel you are generating a failure with regards to something that we already know doesn’t exist as that’s not even the actual location of our website.

Please go to xubuntu.org > Help & Support > Documentation > pick either one Mantic or Jammy > it goes to https://xubuntu.github.io/xubuntu-docs the link I mentioned above > you will find the PDF links > both of them are not working. I believe it is official to Xubuntu so I reported it here.

I confirm your findings. I also found this: https://xubuntu.org/news/xubuntu-is-now-on-github/ which does suggests it is the official site. The ones I found were from just searching via a search engine.

Thanks everybody for reporting this issue. It has now been resolved. PDF downloads are now built with GitHub Pages.
