Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-default-settings

Hi there,
This bug concerns Xubuntu 9.10 beta.

I noticed some menu entries that were not actually likely to ever be useful, and that thus could be easily hidden:

 * OpenJDK Java 6 Webstart which apparently only serves to manage the Java applets you allowed on your browser. I don't think it's that useful to expose this considering Java applets became so rare. I think users wouldn't modify this kind of settings without a doc, so the doc could just give the magical command to launch instead of that menu entry that spoils Apps->Internet.
The same applies to OpenJDK 6 Policy Tools in Apps->Settings.

 * Authorizations, in Apps->System, points to a PolicyKit management UI, that only allows changing the users' rights about PolicyKit itself. I think this app shouldn't be exposed to the GUI as long as it's not actually useful.

 * Do we really need Mass Rename to be available in the menu? I think users will only need it when they have several files selected and they want to rename them, and when they do it's being launched by thunar anyway.

This bug was fixed in the package thunar - 1.0.1-1ubuntu2

thunar (1.0.1-1ubuntu2) karmic; urgency=low

    from the menu. LP: #441278

    files and folders. LP: #391969

Thunar fixed in karmic, nothing left to do in x-d-s, we shouldn't further clutter the menu file by hiding desktop files (rather file bugs against the affected packages instead).
