Bug Description
Binary package hint: xfce4
Using Feisty 7.04 Ubuntu (not Xubuntu), I installed the xfce4 package in order to use xfce in VNC sessions. The next time I rebooted, I noticed the following:
* the GDM theme had been changed to an XFCE theme (easily fixed)
* after entering my password, the screen changes to bright blue for several seconds before the brown gnome desktop appears (I still have not been able to fix this).
I don't think that installing an additional desktop environment should modify the existing one; it looks like some Xubuntu-specific code has managed to find its way into the xfce packages in Ubuntu.
Apologies if this should have been filed against a more specific xfce package; I do not know which one is responsible.
Thanks for your bug report.
