Bug Description

Binary package hint: xsplash

Probably should be considered a duplicate of e.g. 441266, however not exactly the messages as that bug, so I'm filing a new bug.

Expected behaviour: boot moves seamlessly from grub to xsplash

Observed behaviour: a virtual terminal is displayed, with the messages below coming up one by one before xsplash takes over

Messages read:

fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16

/dev/sda1: clean, xxxxx/xxxxxx files, xxxxx/xxxxxx blocks
