Bug Description

Ubuntu 7.10 'Gutsy'
xsok

With large numbers of games installed the list of games becomes unwieldy and it is useful to modify applications.menu so that the Games menu has exactly one more level of menus (e.g. Card, Board, Arcade, Strategy, etc). These categories already exist to some extent in the debian packages, but some packages, like xsok are just 'Games' or use non-standard category names (like 'Puzzle' instead of PuzzleGame').

So here is a .desktop file for xsok that adds the 'PuzzleGame' category to the Categories= list so that the attached applications.menu will put in in the Games->Puzzle menu.

And here is the /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu I use

Which means the modification of the categories comment can be ignore but the rest remains correct. And putting the xsokoban.desktop in /usr/share/applications would add xsokoban to any gnome menu (even without submenus) where it presently doesn't have a menu entry.
