Under VMWare resolution does not change automaticaly

Bug Description

When resizing a VMWare Workstation, under Ubuntu20 the resolution would change automaticaly. It does not in the Ubuntu 24 Beta. During installation I have enabled download of third party driver.

I can see vmtoold running.

Initials I was wrong, the display does get adjusted but no bigger than 1920x1024.
