Appearently my XGI Volari V3 video card will not work with releases later than 6.06 LTS. Did something change with the drivers available in the xserver? The Trident driver works marginally and thinks that I have a different Volari Card. The old Mesa driver in Dapper works wonderfully for everything except some games with intense graffix.
Why is this? Is there something I can do other than convert to Edgy to run on Xfree86 until the next time I install an upgrade? (I already tried this method once, and may try it again later.) |
