toshiba satellite 1024x768 resolution

I have a toshiba satellite and i have to change the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
 to work in 1024x768

In Ubuntu 9.10 have to disable login password to work.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. Additionally, please can you run in a terminal "apport-collect -p xorg 495996", this command will attach lot of useful information that ubuntu developers can review and try to determinate your issue.

At a minimum, we need:

I just install the new version 9.10, but it got only 800x600.

I expected 1024x768 resolution with login and pass.

I got that resolution 1024x768, but i have to disable the login password.

I have the same problem with my Toshiba Satellite 1400-503. How did you solve it?

this driver has been removed from Ubuntu, closing it's bugs
