I am having a very strange problem. When booting, closing or even changing screen resolution I get weird lines and circles on the screen, something like a television with a bad signal. Changing resolution is not possible. When trying to do a dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, the system gives the following error (I think it also gives it on booting): Error inserting battery in /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/acpi/battery.ko (no such device). I don't get why the kernel would want to insert a battery, because it's a desktop PC, they don't use batteries... |
