Screen corruption on low resolutions: xserver-xorg-video-sis

Whilst playing Prboom and Chocolate Doom ( http://chocolate-doom.org ) display in fullscreen is garbled when using xserver-xorg-video-sis. Using resolution 320x200 and 320x240. Chipset in question is "SiS SUPER AGPSET".

Please attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /etc/X11/xorg files and the output of lspci -vvnn. Also, a photograph or screenshot of the screen that shows the issue may be valuable, if possible.

I found the author of the xorg sis driver at http://www.winischhofer.net/ and found that the version that Ubuntu Gutsy uses is too old. perhaps an update would fix this problem!

It's hard to get a Screenshot of this. i think that the only solution is to wait for Hardy...

This is still occuring as of hardy. DRI support needs to be implemented, person in charge of that support no longer able to contact.
