A secondary problem is sound card configuration. In my case, the motherboard ALC883 is not configured. Based on my research, I think this will be solved by udev rules. I say this because different alsa options result in different video setups for the secondary monitor. In one configuration I used xrandr --auto --- worked perfectly. Now I have to use specific xrandr commands to get the desired results. The radeon or radeonhd driver produce the same results. I believe the only common link is the udev rules. > From: goto
