Bug Description

This is my first time on a bug report here. I'm not a good linux user. I had a problem in 7.10 and i have updated to 8.04 and the problems continues.
When i try to open a divx (with totem, vlc, or another) only appearse vertical green lines and the desktop is very slow. Whatever I open the same divx file with avidemux and this plays the video correctly.

¿Is it useful this information? ¿What can i do to give you more data?

Thanks,

SOLVED!
Execute gstreamer-properties, tab video, default output, select other than selected.

Thanks.

Hi jcbaena,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
Thanks in advance.

The output of lspci -vvnn would also be worth having.
