Bug Description
This bug appeared when booting the Kubuntu 8.10 beta desktop ISO (i386 version). The bug did NOT appear when booting the Ubuntu 8.10 beta desktop ISO (i386).
After the startup screen, I get a screen with the upper two fifths in black, the lower three fifths in pink color. Also there appear some weird horizontal stripes in the upper part. After I press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, I get the KDE upstart screen, then the KDE desktop. But there is still some flickering when I press the "launch" button.
My System has a nVIDIA GeForce 6100 / nForce 405 on-board graphics chip. My Monitor is a TFT with 1280x1024 max. resolution

I can conform this. Only difference with my GeForce 6150 onboard graphic is that I have a complete dark screen with white lines/strokes after booting, no colours.
