Bug Description
Gutsy boot process stops at "Kernel Alive" message with no further video output.
Booting in recovery mode is possible. dpkg-reconfigure does not recognize monitor.
Manually assigning refresh rates doesn't solve problem. Changing graphics driver
from nv to vesa makes it possible to boot (with incorrect screen resolution).
I've had to manual set the refresh rates for the last 4-5 Gutsy kernels. However,
it's only with the last update that the driver (Nvidia propriatary with GeForce
8500GT) fails completely.
