Bug Description

Half screen trash artifacts in Unity, SeaMonkey inclusively (partial font rendering of web-pages). Absence of Global menu in Unity.

In Gnome Classic with default theme Ambiance calendar font color is black on dark panel instead of inversed white font color.

I have Nvidia NV34-chipset based video card, which is supported by Nvidia drivers of 173.14.30-31 series only, which in their turn are not supported by current 11 version of XServer ABI. Also xserver-xorg-video-nv are of higher version (290+). Hence I have the only way - to use nouveau which itself at the current state is crap.

Will you please return NVidia NV34 support as it was through the Jockey-Gtk and NVidia drivers of 173.14.xx series (now it doesn't see my NV34)?

Possibly same. Launchpad won't link to this bug tracker. Not sure why the kernel bug is under DRM?

Fadec Mirror, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-nouveau REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
