Bug Description
When i start Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 desktop livecd (same on installed system), system just hang. It seems that it load something, and i see black screen at this moment(2-3 seconds). Then, my monitor goes into standby and loading stops. ctrl+alt+del or power button does nothing. Booting the system with nomodeset work around the issue.

I have a similar problem with proprietary nvidia dirver(195.36.24 from repository), but system hand on Xorg startup. I began think that this is hardware problem, but one guy told me to update the driver to 265, and it works. Also, he said that the problem may be caused by incorrect loading firmware. May be same problem with nouveau?
