Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau

When loading the Nouveau driver in Lucid, Xorg.0.log contains an error about being unable to load AIGLX. This is expected, because we don't ship the 3D component of Nouveau. It would be good to silence this error, to prevent further bugs of this kind.

Original description follows:

(EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/nouveau_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/nouveau_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

And if you really want 3d acceleration, install it.

This is expected behaviour - we do not ship the Nouveau 3D component, so
there will be no 3D acceleration, and in particular, no AIGLX.

This error is harmless, but it would be good to silence it if we can to
prevent further bugs like this.

This also occurs in Kubuntu Lucid 64 bit kernel (daily build 120310).

RAOF, AIGLX could probably be forced off in nv_driver.c in NVPreInit() probably somewhere after xf86ProcessOptions() is called.
