Bug Description

I installed Ubuntu 14.04.1 on my machine. It is an old machine with Nvidia 7050 onboard graphics. On boot it shows me the login screen but after logging it either freezes immediately or it freezes when I open any application. However, it doesn't freeze when I open the file manager or any libre office application. After it freezes pressing the reset button only helps. This bug can be reproduced every time.
