Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty (development)
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau:
  Installed: 1:1.0.10-1ubuntu2

In 12.04.4 Ubuntu Studio resume from suspend works perfectly, just as I expected. In 14.04, however, resume from suspend works 1 or 2 times, and then the computer hangs and I cannot even get to a TTY.
As I would rather use the nouveau drivers this is quite an annoying bug for me.

I would like at very least some kernel paramters to use to get this to work properly, but would be willing to do as much testing as needed to provide a fix for the community to use this out of the box, and only install proprietary drivers if they 'need' to.

I upgraded fully to Vivid, however the resolution with the nouveau driver was really bad.
I will have to test this, but that computer's LCD is failing so it will take me a bit of time to test it
