Bug Description

Experiencing intermittent system freezes. The screen displays repeated diagonal pattern. Sometimes I can reboot via REISUB but typically no mouse or keyboard input is recognised and reset button required to reboot.

Problem appears to occur with nouveau rendering using graphics NV4C
With a normal boot graphics reported by inxi:
inxi -G
Graphics: Card: NVIDIA C61 [GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a] bus-ID: 00:0d.0
           Display Server: x11 (X.Org 1.20.5 )
           drivers: vesa,nouveau (unloaded: modesetting,fbdev)
           Resolution: 1024x768@75.03hz
OpenGL: renderer: NV4C version: 2.1 Mesa 19.2.8 Direct Render: Yes

If I boot in recovery mode, the problem does not seem to occur with the different graphics
