Bug Description

1) ubuntu 11.10 64bit

2) Libreoffice 3.4.4

lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)

3) What is expected to happen is when opening the main libreoffice shortcut, the screen looks as it should.

4) What happens instead is it has graphical corruptions as demonstrated in the screenshot https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/892967/+attachment/2603311/+files/Screenshot%20at%202011-11-21%2001%3A00%3A07.png

I have lo-menubar installed, but it never shows for the libreoffice shortcut.

I ran:
gdb <program> 2>&1 | tee ~/gdb-libreoffice.txt
And got the message:
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `2'
Libreoffice did not start.

I decided to then run:
libreoffice
And got the message
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "globalmenu-gtk"

Then, I decided to open libreoffice, then typed:
 gdb 2>&1 | tee gdb-libreoffice.txt

I followed the backtrace ubuntu wiki as best I could, so sorry if I didn't do this correctly.
I attached the .txt backtrace file.

JC, I do not know why a good backtrace is being generated other than it being correlated to you using a 64-bit environment. I'll have to wait until a developer or someone more experienced than I to work together with you on this. Marking Confirmed based on your screenshot.

After adding the ppa ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers the Libreoffice graphics appear to be fixed.
However, the globalmenu still does not detect lo-menubar, as shown in the screenshot.
Here's the updated driver copied from Ubuntu Software Center:
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.17.0+git1201101021.b76865~gd~o
I think before it was 2:2.15?
