Hi mholzapfel,

Looking at your dmesg I notice that the GPU hung error is the last entry in your log, which makes me wonder if your machine hung during shutdown of your previous session? Near as I can tell this is not a dupe of bug #828684 (the general False GPU lockup), so this may be worth further investigation.

Is it possible your system had hung on the prior boot and you power cycled it? Or, perhaps it hung during shutdown and you just powered it off?

Changed in xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

Hi Bruce,

I cannot confirm that. The system did not show any sign of error exept
for the "Report the Bug" popup. I did not hang and I had not powered
down or rebooted the system by hard until that time.

Unfortunately I can't login any more since todays upgrades. I'm hoping
that that bug be fixed with the next upgrades. Then I will keep my eyes
open for this bug to happen again.

Best regards
