I have also reinstalled the last kernel from maverick-updates in my i686 system running Natty, and when I boot using this kernel I can use s-video output without any problems.

Should the bug be reassigned to kernel?

The kernel I installed: linux-image-2.6.35-30-generic_2.6.35-30.54_i386.deb
