I am not entirely convinced that 626967 is a true duplicate, however I belive 650803 (this bug) can be safely closed based on the following testing:
I tested xserver- xorg-video- intel versions 2:2.12.0-ubuntu5.1 and ubuntu5.2~lp626967 from Robert Hooker for about three days under the following conditions / environments:
- Acer 3820T with Core i3-350m and integrated graphics only
- Completely updated Ubuntu Maverick
- Kernels 2.6.35, 2.6.36-2 and 2.6.37-8
- Multiple shutdowns, suspend/resume, and hibernate/resume cycles in each
- Xfce and Enlightenment 17 DEs
- Multi-display setup on laptop LVDS with or without HDMI out
I saw zero apport crashes, no compositor issues, no MI_WAIT_FOR_EVENT errors logged, and similar power usage/wakeups/ interrupt counts.
