2009-12-13 14:02:32 phran description Binary package hint: xorg Since using Ubuntu 9.10, x is freezing often, sometimes once every 2 hours. there is no reason recognisable. it happens e.g. when surfing a while with firefox. When visiting the same pages again, it wont freeze again. This happens when using kernel 2.6.31-11. With all newer kernels, it will usually freeze already in the login screen. So i am using the older kernel. I already uninstalled compiz, but the problem remains. The only way to restart is shutdown by ssh. When using Windows XP on the same notebook, there are no such freezes. I attached the files for debugging the problem.
