Bug Description

So far I run Ubuntu 9.04 and all was fine. When I updated tu Ubuntu 9.10 the computer won't boot or I could hear the launch sound but could not see a picture. I tried a completely new installation as well, but it seems 9.10 just won't run on my machine.
I have a notebook with an Intel 855GM chipset.

Thanks!

Hi mpritzkow,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you're using a custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

I may not have a chance to have this computer in my hands again! I would like to contribute with some information. This is a friends computer that could be converted to Ubuntu!

The Stylus touch Screen Works fine as everything else, except for the video card 3D acceleration! I can't activate Visual Effects and youtube videos appear a little slow.
