2010-02-09 19:27:29 Bryce Harrington description Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Hello, I had problems with 3D graphics since the upgrade to ubuntu 8.10 on my "Samsung Q25 Ruby" Notebook with i945GM. Now using the new Ubuntu 9.10 RC and some problems seem to be fixed. For example, when I run a 3D application with Ubuntu 8.10, 3/4 of the screen are black/white, this doesnt happen now. But Celestia is still much slower than before and than under windows, Stellarium looks a bit strange when I enable compiz. SuperTux is stuttering a bit. (It was much stranger when I started it with the onboard sound card enabled unter Ubuntu 9.04, normaly I m using a PCMCIA card from Creative. It doesnt have any effect now with 9.10 when I switch the card.) Any Flash video, from youtube or somewhere else is stuttering and it doesnt matter if it is maximized or not. Only Stellarium seems to be effected by enabled compiz, all other problems are also happening with disabled compiz.
