Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I've turned on UXA to get better graphic performance, but when I get back from suspend, I'm back at the KDM login screen (instead of within my Kubuntu session).

This is different than bug 339091 (that I'm experiencing when EXA is turn on) by the fact that I'm always back at the KDM screen and that the setting of 'Desktop Effects' doesn't affect the issue.

The following dmesg entry are probably related:

    pci 0000:00:02.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16
    pci 0000:00:02.0: setting latencytimer to 64
    PM: resume devices took 3.560 seconds
    PM: Finishing wakeup.
    Restarting tasks ... done.
    synaptics was reset on resume, see synaptics_resume_reset if you have trouble on resume

I can confirm this behavior on my Samsung Q45 laptop runnig the 64-version of Kubuntu.

The bug still exists in the today's SVN-Build from xorg-edgers ppa (2.6.99.1+git20090416.b9716b83-0ubuntu0tormod)

But I can't reproduce the Bug when starting in failsafe mode instead of KDE.
Even when I run Kwin and plasma from there I can suspend and resume.

But when I start KDE using startkde the bug however returns.
