Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

X crashed shortly after initiating suspend which results in gdm/kdm login screen.

I guess it only happens if xv was used before but I haven't made so much tests.

I am using current Jaunty Kubuntu.

It definitely seems to have something to do with XV Overlay output. Before using xv suspend works fine but afterwards crashes X. After the crash it is not possible anymore to change to console. The screen remains blank until switched back to X.

I am going to made some more tests but Overlay is still needed afaik because of the tearing problem of textured video.
