X crash: libextmod.so(XvdiPutImage) on i945 when playing videos in miro

Bug Description

Binary package hint: x11-common

Playing some videos in miro results in an X crash.

* Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy gold, intel all updates installed.
* Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
* glxgear works,
* direct rendering is on according to glxinfo
* xvideo is on according to xdpyinfo.

Xorg log is attached. Let me know if anything else is needed.

Mike, thanks for including the Xorg.0.log, this shows a partial backtrace of the error. Would you mind please reproducing the crash and obtaining a full backtrace? See http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing for directions on how to do this. Thanks ahead of time.

Worth pointing out I am using Miro from their repo, not from the Ubuntu one.

Most likely a dupe of Bug 220019. Could you please check the driver mentioned there. It should fix your problem.
